Thanks for stopping by. This is me recently at my Zürich studio working on some magic. I shoot mostly analogue (film) these days, because I am keen to remain hands-on with everything I do. Also, I simply love the mechanical aspects of photography, as well as the depth of colour, the grain and the lustre of film stocks.
My media career started in Ottawa, Canada as an advertising agency creative, copywriting for print, broadcast and the nascent Internet back in the 90s, long before social media, generative A.I. and all other manner of digital choices had irrevocably altered our existence.
Since then, I have lived in Vancouver and Calgary, Canada and spent 13 years in Istanbul, Türkiye where I started a family and where I still return regularly for projects. In Istanbul I began writing, editing and shooting for magazines, satisfying a long time ambition.
Today, I am more determined than ever to craft stories using my idiosyncratic, human touch, and to go first with ink, paper, and grain rather than pixel or algorithm — irrespective of whether or not the final product is presented digitally or physically.
